We’re just under a week away from All Things Open (ATO) in Raleigh, NC. All Things Open is a conference that explores open source, open tech, and the open web. As you can imagine, this is right up our alley.
All Things Open Or Bust!
Cullen, one of our partners here at Matchbox Design Group, will be arriving on Sunday morning and getting settled in before converging on the Raleigh Convention Center. He will be just one of over 4,000 other technologists, decision-makers and open source community members attending. The conference is packed with 18 different tracks ranging from 101 to Blockchain. He plans to focus specifically on development, UI/UX and business, but don’t be surprised if he shows up in a security class or two.
Quick Q & A With Cullen
This is the first year Matchbox is attending the All Things Open conference and with a packed speaker schedule, it’s hard to choose which sessions to attend. We asked Cullen a few questions about the conference:
What Are You Looking Forward To Most At ATO?
“I can’t wait to hear industry leaders that I follow discuss how they’re approaching and solving the same challenges we face at Matchbox. I also can’t wait to go back to North Carolina. I love that state!”
What Are You Most Excited To Learn About At ATO?
“I’m excited to learn more about web accessibility, new technologies, new coding languages, workflows and the chance to tell people like Chris Coyier how much they’ve impacted our business.”
As you can tell, he’s just a little excited… It’s also going to be nice for Cullen to get some face time with a few of the companies/creators of tools we use on a daily basis including GitLab, WP Engine, Docker, and Automattic (WordPress), just to name a few. There’s so much to do at All Things Open, so we expect a full report once he returns.
