This means digging deeper and finding out what kind of partnership you should expect when working with our agency. We’re more than happy to shed some light on this topic and detail out exactly how our website redesign process works so that you have all the information you need to decide if we’re the right fit for your company.
Before any fancy technical work begins, we need to start by simply getting to know you. This means digging deep into your technical needs and hashing out your business goals. We’ll schedule a “Kickoff Call” where we ask you a series of questions that will help us uncover these details. From there we’ll conduct our own research into your competitors, industry, and current performance so that we get the full picture. If you’re in need of a website redesign you should expect to receive a findings report, site map, and wireframes during this phase of the process. These documents will give you a sneak peek into the technical requirements, structure, and layout of your potential new website.
Once everything has been approved from the discovery phase, we then move into design. This phase is undoubtedly one of the most exciting parts because this is when you’ll get a real idea as to how your site is actually going to look. We’ll present you with a style guide that will outline the colors, fonts, and other visual elements that will be implemented on your site. We’ll go into as much detail as you need around why we made the decisions we did, but most times it all ties back to user experience and performance. You’ll get two rounds of comps with plenty of time to review and provide feedback.
One of the most important parts of a website that people tend to overlook is content. Visual appeal is one thing but when it’s married with high-quality content – well that’s when you’ve really got a winner! We will create an organized folder structure with documents that mirror the design so that you have a better understanding of how the content is supposed to look on the page. We have an in-house team of copywriters that can help scrape content from your current site, write new content or help wordsmith the content that you provide. It all comes down to how much time and energy you’re wanting to put into this phase of the process.
While we are collecting & creating content, we’ll get started on the website development phase of your website. This is the point in the process where our team of engineers pour themselves a nice tall cup of coffee and start to work their technical magic. It’s during this phase where the design that you approved will slowly but surely transform into a living, breathing, fully functional website.
Once the development and content phases have commenced, we’ll then move into testing. We’ll start with internal testing where a member of each team (design, SEO and development) will pour through your new site to make sure that everything is looking and functioning the way that it should. After internal testing, we’ll schedule a website training session where we’ll walk you through the back end of your site and teach you how to enter content, build pages, change out images, etc. Once you’re fully trained and feeling confident we’ll then hand over the site to you for client testing. This is where you’ll have the chance to make note of anything that doesn’t look or feel right before launch.
The long-awaited moment – LAUNCH. Much like a spaceship, we’ll flip all the switches and bring your beautiful new website to life. Once you’re fully operational, we’ll check in with you one last time to make sure that everything is good to go. We’ll also discuss details around a support agreement so that we can continue to make technical fixes and updates for you going forward. So after all is said and done, we highly encourage you to sit back and relax, pop some champagne or do whatever it is you do to celebrate – we guarantee we’ll be doing the same.
