Like any great story of our time, there may have been a few beers involved. Thankfully MatchboxCreativeGroup.com was never purchased―and we never looked back. Since that serendipitous day in 2006, Matchbox Design Group has been igniting innovative ideas and building St. Louis brands.
After all, design is our middle name. (Thanks to our fortunate mistake.)
How We Are Celebrating 10 Years In Business
With 2016 being our 10th year in business, we are spreading out the celebration all yearlong. Each month we will approach a famous St. Louis food spot to make us a culinary creation in the shape of “10.”
First up, La Patisserie Chouquette in Tower Grove/Botanical Heights. They are famous–we’re talking Food Network, Martha Stewart-award-winning famous–for making traditional French pastries. The chef, Simone Faure, is from New Orleans and one of her favorite times of year is King Cake season. So why not have a famous chef make one of her favorite cakes for us?

It was so tempting that we literally starting cutting into it during our photoshoot.
Thankfully La Patisserie Chouquette was kind enough to leave the babies out of the King Cake so we wouldn’t choke on them.

Special thanks to La Patisserie Chouquette for helping us kick off our 10-year anniversary with an ode to the finest St. Louis food. The King Cake was, of course, to die for–and we demolished it by lunch time!
