Amber comes to us with an extensive background in digital marketing with an SEO focus. She handles the day-to-day interactions with our SEO clients and presents complex data-filled reports in an easily digestible manner. Her well-organized and analytical nature keeps projects running smoothly and makes her a vital component to our SEO team.

Get to Know Amber Better

Amber Alesi was born in St. Peters, Missouri and received her Undergraduate degree in English Literature with a minor in Business from the University of Missouri – Columbia (MIZ!…). She then got her Master’s degree in Secondary English Education from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. After graduation, Amber taught 7th grade English Literature for two years and quickly learned that she had chosen the wrong profession.

In 2009, she took a job for a tutoring company where she slowly took on more of the marketing responsibilities – paid search, social media marketing, blog writing, making website updates, etc. From there she began working for larger and larger digital marketing agencies. She has done everything from managing paid search campaigns for national brands to optimizing website content for local retailers. Amber considers herself fortunate to have worked with some amazingly talented people who have taught her how to be professional, work well on a team and contribute to the success of a client’s business. 

Currently, Amber is our client relations person on the SEO team. Her role is mainly that of liaison between the SEO team and the clients. She works with the SEO team to develop successful organic search and content marketing strategies that she then communicates to the client. Her role also includes preparing monthly reports, task management for the team, keeping track of client hours monthly, contributing strategy ideas and project managing their implementation, communicating client needs and requests to the SEO and development teams and helping to educate clients on SEO tactics, strategies and concepts.

Each day is different from the next as she spend a lot of time jumping between client communication, meetings and task management. She truly enjoys getting to work closely with the team and clients to reach the mutual goal of client success. Her favorite part about working at Matchbox is the atmosphere of collaboration and respect.

  2. What do you do in your spare time?

    “In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and sons. We love to go to movies and concerts. Our boys are 9 years apart so we stay pretty busy with all the kid things.”

    “I can pick out celebrity voices in commercials and cartoons with 90% accuracy.”

  4. What’s the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

    “The coolest place I’ve ever visited is a tie between Aruba and Italy.”

  5. Q: What's something awesome about you that no one else knows?

    “I started the first recycling program at my elementary school when I was in 5th grade.”
