Tim is a web developer that has experience in multiple facets of the marketing space. His experiences allow him to develop products that not only function well but are strategically oriented to achieve results for our clients.
My favorite thing about Matchbox is working on a team that has systems in place to keep ourselves focused and increase our output. It’s exciting to see the number of tasks we are taking on at the beginning of a sprint and watching those items get completed throughout the duration of that sprint. We’re achieving at a high level and it’s exciting to be a part of an organization like that.

Get to Know Tim Better
Tim Stone grew up in Denver, CO before moving to Springfield, MO to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies at Evangel University. While studying at Evangel he got a work study job in the university marketing department where he learned all things web development. The position grew from a work study role to part-time and, after graduation, full-time website management.
In 2017, Tim moved to Kansas City, MO to work for a local church while continuing a career as a freelance web developer. Since then, he has worked in a variety of roles for various marketing agencies across Missouri. To date, Tim has worked on hundreds websites for brands of all sizes in dozens of industries.
At Matchbox, Tim works as a support engineer. Tim’s day to day consists of developing new websites, maintaining sites, resolving support issues, and executing changes on client sites.

Learning and Growing
I enjoy spending time with my wife Brianna and my dogs Oakley and Quincy. I also love reading, upgrading my desk setup, podcasting, and gaming.
I have this weird ability to identify just about any city in the US (and quite a few globally) from a single picture of the skyline. I don’t even need to see the whole thing; just give me a few buildings and I can place it.
The most fun place I’ve ever visited is either Soldier Field in Chicago (Bear down) or Alys Beach, FL (beautiful beaches and the setting for the Truman Show). The coolest place was probably the cave dwellings at Mesa Verde in southwest Colorado. I can’t wrap my mind how they built a full town on the side of a cliff.
I’ve been working on my own root beer recipe for a few years. It’s not good, but one day I’m confident it will get there. Working on figuring out how to get the carbonation right.
