Jerly grew up on Roosevelt Island — a small island nestled between Manhattan and Queens in New York City. His path took him across borders and back again: he returned to Venezuela for about 18 months, then moved to Bogotá, Colombia, where he finished high school, before heading back to Caracas. There, he began pursuing an accounting degree in college, but the instability in the country forced him to leave abruptly, putting his studies on hold.
Through it all, Jerly never stopped pushing forward. Today, based in Bogotá, his resilience and relentless work ethic have shaped him into the sales professional he is now.
Jerly is part of our sales team, where he specializes in turning cold prospects into warm, engaged leads. For him, the role is less about hard selling and more about genuine conversation. His approach is to build rapport and nurture relationships over time until prospects are truly ready to move forward.
On any given day, you’ll find Jerly bouncing between meetings, prospecting, and making calls, always making time to chat with the people in his pipeline. It’s that consistent, people-first approach that makes him effective at what he does.
When it comes to digital marketing, Jerly is most excited about the intersection of AI and automation with personalized customer experiences. He sees this combination as a game-changer for how businesses connect with people.
As for life at Matchbox, he’s been loving the culture from the start, describing how quickly everyone pulled him in and made him feel like part of the team. He doesn’t have a favorite project just yet, but he’s looking forward to diving in and learning everything he can.

I love to spend time with my son and my wife. Riding my motorcycle, reading a good book, I love writing. Some day I will publish a book. Maybe an anime, manga but I’m not sure. The only thing I am clear on is that it will happen.
Talking LOL but for real that would be my superpower.
Milan, everyone is just beautiful and so sophisticated and Egypt. Being inside the pyramids and the valley of the pharons is something that you have to do. Having the chance to swim in the dead sea is awesome and just having the chance to look at the sky and the stars in the middle of the desert is breathtaking.
I think that one day in my sixties I want to run for president of Venezuela and be president.
