Get To Know Lindsay Better

Lindsay Smith is a music industry professional turned digital marketer. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, her love for music began early on and blossomed in high school, where she spent four years in the marching band. After high school, Lindsay continued marching and pursued a degree in Music Education at the Historically Black College & University, Kentucky State University. However, when she traveled to Atlanta and met a group of young artists, she felt inspired to change her career path. As a result, she transferred to Full Sail University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, followed by a Masters in Entertainment Business.

After spending ten years in the music industry as an artist/tour manager and label operative, she discovered her passion for digital marketing. In 2019, she decided to pursue this passion full-time and has since worked at different agencies with a wide range of clients, from small businesses to the biggest brands.  She has extensive experience in copywriting, media planning, paid social campaign strategy, management/optimization, and slaying dragons (just kidding, but you’re still reading, right?).

As a member of the SEO Accounts team, Lindsay serves as the go-between for clients and the SEO team. Her primary responsibility is to work with the SEO team to identify client needs and develop successful organic search, content marketing, and paid social strategies. Her role also involves keeping clients in the loop, monthly reporting, task management, tracking client hours, and managing project timelines. She strives to be proactive and innovative in testing opportunities (a/b testing, brand lift studies, new platforms) to uncover new possibilities for success.

  1. Describe yourself in 3 words

    “Goofy. Musical. Outgoing.”

  2. What do you do in your spare time?

    “Play PS5 with my son, Carter, listen to music or go to concerts (I’ve seen Dave Matthews Band 31 times), sing karaoke, go country line dancing, go out to eat, watch Golden Girls reruns or the Harry Potter series for the 37,000th time.”

  3. Do you have any special talents?

    “I play the flute/piccolo and can make a mean baked Mac & cheese!”

  4. What’s the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

    “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”

  5. What's something awesome about you that no one else knows?

    “During my time in marching band, I won the Bands of America Grand National Championship in 2004 and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Honda HBCU Battle of the Bands in 2009.”
