Core Requirements & Responsibilities For Our SEO Specialist

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices (technical, on-page, off-page, local).
  • Understanding of SEO-driven content marketing.
  • Knowledge of social media organic and paid marketing (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Ads campaign setup and management.
  • Certifications for Google Analytics and Google Ads.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrated the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Experience with Basecamp, Asana, SEMrush and other marketing platforms is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, research, and optimization.
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations.
  • Research and analyze competitor backlinks, ad campaigns, and keyword strategy.
  • Develop and implement link building strategy.
  • Work with the design and development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Work with content, design, and development teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, and identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns.
  • Manage campaign expenses, stay on budget, estimate monthly costs, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Serve as an impactful extension of each account’s business and/or marketing department; operate with each business’ best interests in mind.
  • Remain up to date on digital marketing industry trends; expand knowledge of broad digital marketing platforms and strategies, especially around channels such as organic, paid, email, and more.
  • Support and solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations.

This person would be a new addition to our Digital Strategy team and their primary function would be to execute on paid and organic optimization tasks. The ideal candidate should have deep SEO knowledge, have good communication skills (both internally and with the client), be attentive, organized, detail-oriented, curious and proactive and have the ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

The ideal candidate would also have experience with paid Google Ads campaigns, as well as social media ads (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, etc). These skills will be important for building as well as optimizing on-going paid efforts for our clients.
