After doing some small custom development work for his Million Dollar Advisor site over the summer, Don Quante, a financial advisor, and the author came to us looking for a new don’t go the broke website to promote his book, “Don’t Go Broke in a Nursing Home.” His existing site was a couple of years old and was in need of a fresh new look that would be easy for users to navigate. Matchbox Design Group was happy to take on the challenge of creating a well-organized site that helped users on their financial journey. We always design websites with the user experience in mind and took this on as another challenge.

Don’t Go Broke Website Biggest Objective

Our biggest objective was to create a well-organized site with a brighter, friendlier palette that would help direct users to buy the book and start their journey to financial stability. Drawing from the blue and red on the cover of the book, we utilized a light blue and a red-orange and added a deep navy and grey in the color palette to compliment them.

When structuring the site, we started with the homepage first. Just as with Don’s old site, we made the video a central point for the page and created some icons and a testimonial section as additional calls to action. The internal pages quickly followed, including a featured area at the top of the page for intro copy or a featured post, with additional content below.

And now we are excited to announce that the new Don’t Go Broke site it lives! You can also click below to start your web design project with us today. If you have a small budget we might be able to help you because we take on the small, but fun project and the huge grueling project.
